FRAN & MIKE are at the core of the excellent blues/rock band SO LONG ANGEL, but in 2004, after doing an impromptu acoustic spot as a duo at the Colne Blues Festival, they decided to investigate the acoustic scene again. Fran plays bass guitar while Mike provides ultra-tasteful and dexterous flourishes on acoustic guitar. They have just released a new CD, 'Restless' and will be playing a mix of soulful, dynamic and powerful folk/blues/jazz with haunting original songs. They did a great floor spot recently and that did it for us!
Ireland's finest - a true legend and troubadour who 'never tires of the road', ANDY lives the life of the road just like his hero WOODY GUTHRIE, and his solo show features Irish traditional songs, ballads, tunes from Europe and America and many original songs in his own unique style. His mandola/bouzouki playing is dazzlingly good and his pedigree is longer than an ol' freight train (Planxty, Paul Brady, Patrick Street, De Dannan and currently Mozaic), so jump aboard and hitch a ride with a mesmerising performer.
A night of home-grown Entertainment that makes The X-Factor seem like the Ex-Factor! Throw in some seasonal mirth, frivolity, good cheer, nibbles, Healing Tinctures, Lap dancing, Tree-hugging, Dear Droppings and Mistle-Throwing and you have all the ingredients for a classic 'X-mas' X-perience - and more than enough qualifications for you to be on the next 'Minor Celebrity Big Brother In The Jungle Let Me Out of Here'! No.
