Up and Running!

Our first night at the Old Cranleighan club on 9th January was a huge success, so thanks to everyone who turned up (all 120!) to see Bob Wood on such a bitterly cold night. It was a fine night of music (with Benny Gallagher joining Bob on a few songs), with all the proceeds going to club funds, and a great start to what will hopefully be a long and happy tenure.

Hopefully, everyone will agree that the new room looks just like the Ram Club should look like - it's different from the Foley but fresher and better! We have new decorations, lights, framed memorabilia, candles, a new stage, the famous backdrop and all of the things that make the room a comfort zone and give it that special 'Rambience'. And no more queuing outside!

We are really grateful to the local press too, for their fantastic support over the last few weeks - in particular the extremely generous coverage the 'News and Mail', 'Surrey Advertiser' and 'Surrey Comet' gave us for our first night. Truly local papers that take an interest in their patch, and gold dust to us.

We even managed to drink the bar dry of Real Ale, despite the absence of a few of our thirstier regulars! Ted the barman is planning to enable you to pre-order interval drinks to lessen the rush at half time.

Thanks again for coming to support the club - we couldn't have wished for a better start. Have a look at a few first night pictures here.
